Without strategy, content is just stuff. The world has enough stuff.

Do you agree?

Do you agree?

Anyone familiar with Linked In, or any social media platform would probably recognise the quote. Yet we’re putting more and more ‘stuff’ out there.

And let’s be honest, most of it is crap. A complete waste of time. There’s just so much of it.

Where’s the strategy?

Getting lots of stuff out there and hoping it gets engagement is not a strategy.

‘Hope’ is not a #marketing strategy.

Crap will always be crap, regardless of how much crap you deliver.

If you want to create content that people actually want to read, start by understanding your ‘why?’

Why do you exist? What’s your vision? Why should anyone care?

Your ‘why’ is what makes you different. It’s what inspired you to set up your business and do things the way you do them.

It’s what inspires others to take action and buy what you do.

Like Simon Sinek said, people don’t by ‘what’ you do, they buy ‘why’ you do it.

When you have a ‘why’, then the ‘what’ you do and the ‘how’ you do it make more sense.
If people are interested in the ‘why’, then the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ become interesting too.

‘What’ you do is of no interest unless there’s a ‘why’ that they care about.

If you want to engage more people on social media, if you want people to listen to you – get focused on your ‘why’.
